For over 30 years, we have stood for innovative event technology that inspires. But what makes us special? How did our journey start? And who are the people who passionately drive Blue Wheels forward every day?

From the garage to the big world — our story

It all began in a garage, more specifically, in the double garage of Tom Koperek in Essen. Together with his friend Sven Robusch He took over the technical equipment for the performances of cabaret artist Thomas Freitag. Even then, they were using their own equipment, the first step towards becoming a successful event technology company.

Customer focus as a recipe for success

With growing success and increasing demand, Top Technic Production GmbH was founded in 1995. Even then, the secret of our success was clear: tailor-made solutions, technical know-how and a strong understanding of our customers' needs.

The birth of Blue Wheels — Innovation and growth

In 1998, the next company was founded with LK Lichtdesign & Klangkonzepte GmbH, which finally merged with Top Technic Production GmbH to form LK Aktiengesellschaft. In 2018, Blue Wheels was founded as an independent company. Today, as a full-service provider, we serve over 450 trade fairs, events, conferences, congresses and concerts in Germany and Europe every year.

Behind Blue Wheels are more than 50 committed employees and 12 trainees who make every project a success with passion, experience and creativity. Our working environment is characterized by team spirit, appreciation and genuine Ruhr region charm, and it is precisely this energy that is reflected in our projects.

Sven Robusch — Managing Director with heart and know-how

Sven is a managing partner at Blue Wheels and a true expert when it comes to developing individual solutions for our customers. As an experienced event technician, he knows the requirements of every type of event and ensures that every idea becomes a unique experience.

Florian Kohn — From passion to profession

Florian has been part of the team since 2007 and, as managing director, contributes his many years of experience as a freelance technician and event technology specialist. Since 2022, he has been responsible for personnel and operational business with a clear focus on tailor-made solutions and individual advice.
