The largest LED wall, which can be found at the world's leading industrial trade fair in Hanover in 2023, comes from the Ruhr area. The Bottrop-based exhibition construction company ExpoTeam brought the Essen experts for video LED installations, Blue Wheels event technology, on board. All content shown was designed by Bochum-based content company Jano 3D Studio: Animations like absolutely realistic waterfalls now rustle across the façade of the 1053 square meter exhibition stand. On a total area of 293 square meters, 1,216 LED panels were installed as the outer façade of the three-story exhibition stand. The particular challenge: to implement the whole thing without interrupting edges. The solution came with special corner modules.
“Our customer ifm electronic uses the LED installation to present resource-saving technology solutions in water management in an eye-catching way,” explains expoTEAM managing director Stefan Knümann. “In planning, environmentally friendly construction by avoiding the use of conventional recyclable materials was therefore paramount.” Blue Wheels managing director Sven Robusch adds: “We are very proud to be able to implement such a lighthouse project for ifm electronic, which is also based in Essen.” In addition to sustainable aspects, the architecture of the stand and the communication content had a decisive influence on the choice of technical solution. “Early and intensive coordination with trade fair construction and content producer, right from the planning phase, is therefore essential for successful project implementation. ”
